Yule: Returning to the Light
A simple candle lit for Yule, honoring rest, renewal, and the slow return of light.
I’ve always felt that the Winter Solstice carries its own quiet enchantment.
It’s the longest night of the year, yes — but it’s also the moment we honor the turning back toward light. When the earth sleeps, the stars seem to shine a little brighter, and we bring a bit of warmth into our homes with candles, tiny lights, and small rituals of comfort. It’s a celebration of returning.
Earlier this autumn, I found myself needing a return of my own.
Life had piled up — tasks, worries, noise — and somewhere in the middle of all that, my inner voice slipped into the background. That quiet intuition I rely on daily grew faint beneath the outer clamor. I suspect I’m not the only one who’s been there. It’s why so much of what I share revolves around rest, reflection, and listening within… even when I forget to take my own advice.
During that pause — my little “autumn breather” — something unexpected settled into place.
I’ve loved writing for as long as I can remember. The older I get, the louder that calling becomes. I kept imagining a space made of words, warmth, and intention: a place where intuition is supported rather than doubted, where rest is treated as essential, and where people come not to perform spirituality but to belong inside it.
During that quiet season, this space began to take shape.
And today, on the longest night of the year, I’m humbly setting it at your doorstep.
Here, you’ll find:
cozy reflections meant to ground and soothe
teachings that feel like conversations with a friend
tarot offered from a gentle, no-drama, real-world perspective
stories from my own life (I’m not an expert — I’ve just lived through some stuff)
guidance that honors your autonomy and your intuition
Above all, I hope you find comfort during the darker or overwhelming seasons of your life.
If you’re learning to create your own quiet — and giving yourself a chance to hear your intuition again — you’ll find yourself in good company here.
Happy Yule, dear one.
May your inner light return softly, steadily, and in its own perfect time. 🕯️✨
